The logo

and the meaning behind it

You might have seen it on this website, on my YouTube channel or even on set, where I have tiny stickers of it on all my gear. But what does it mean?

The design was inspired by the shape of an iceberg. With icebergs, only the top section is visible above the water. But the invisible underwater section which supports it is much, much larger. Similarly, the tiny part of a film that the audience sees, the final cut, hides the immense amount of behind-the-scenes work that was essential to bring that final cut to the surface and in front of the audience.

This logo serves as a reminder to me that when admiring a fellow filmmakers' work, I should not underestimate the huge amount of hidden effort and talent that went into making the glossy final product. At the same time, it helps me accept that there are no shortcuts to creating a quality film. No matter how short the movie is, the work required to achieve it will be long, and that's OK.
